EmblemHealth is pleased to announce the reinstatement of Stony Brook Hospital back to their Small Group Select Care Network!  Letters will be sent to members informing them that Stony Brook University Hospital, Stony Brook Southampton Hospital, and the participating health care professionals at these hospitals, will continue to be part of EmblemHealth’s Select Care Network.  Members may continue to receive care at these hospitals and from the health care professionals in the Select Care Network.  Click below for a copy of the sample letter for reference.

EmblemHealth has submitted a request for a change in premium rates for small group EmblemHealth plans renewing in 2020. The New York State Department of Financial Services (DFS) must review and approve health plan premium rate increases for community-rated plans. Please read below for the letters Emblem is mailing to subscribers to inform them of the proposed rate increase as well as which plans will be affected.

Healthfirst has submitted a rate change request to the New York State Department of Financial Services (DFS) to modify premium rates for its new and renewing Small Group products effective January 1, 2020.  The requested rate reduction is 5%.  Click below for the Broker Alert from Healthfirst.

August 2019 Kits are now available on your client's site! Hard copies were mailed to brokers and employers on 5/20 and 5/21 respectively.  The electronic renewal kit can be obtained by pulling your group up on the homepage under “Start Here: Manage Groups” and scrolling down to the “View Billing Invoices and Renewal Kits” link.  The HOP is currently open to accept August 2019 renewal applications.
