Updates on IRS employer reporting and member SSN outreach and submissions
In 2016, the Affordable Care Act (ACA) requires health insurers and employers to report certain information related to ACA's minimum essential coverage requirements to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). AmeriHealth New Jersey is required to report minimum essential coverage information for members of fully insured medical plans. Self-funded customers are required to complete their own IRS reporting.
