The New York Department of Financial Services (NYDFS) recently reviewed the Transamerica executive medical reimbursement policy for application strictly within their market jurisdiction. As a letter going to members the executive medical reimbursement policy underwritten by Transamerica Financial Life Insurance Company will not renew as of their policy anniversary date, starting February 2020. While this policy is being terminated, we are prepared to present you and your client with alternate coverage options that New York (NYDFS) will allow.

Also now available to NY groups is DentaPak NY that will be available in 2020. Introduced earlier this month, the NY market has embraced it and we’ve already begun quoting groups for 2020.  DentaPak is available for NY groups regardless of primary medical coverage or size (3+ enrolled). DentaPak NY is a hospital indemnity plan that includes a dental and vision rider similar to the benefits included in Ultimate Health, meaning there’s reimbursement of 213(d) eligible dental and vision expenses. Actually, there’s a lot more dental and vision coverage in this new plan.
