United Concordia Dental has exciting news to share with your clients!


Soon (targeted for 7/8/19), United Concordia Dental will begin transitioning from printed member ID cards to digital member ID cards. Instead of carrying even more plastic, members simply access digital ID cards from their smartphones, laptops or tablets. How? Just by downloading the United Concordia Dental mobile app, or signing into their MyDentalBenefits accounts.  Over the next few months, we’ll be working with clients to make this change.

Hartford

Hartford wants to make you aware of an upcoming billing change. The Hartford will be implementing for all New York DBL/PFL annually billed customers. New York updates Paid Family Leave rates every January, which has now created additional complication when calculating annual actual premium due. For this reason, The Hartford is discontinuing the annual bill option for New York DBL and PFL coverage. First, to make the lives of General Agent and Broker partners easier Delta Dental has made some minor changes to their small group application replacing the plan option letters with the actual deductible and Calendar Year Maximum’s they represent. The New York Department of Financial Services (DFS) Life Bureau has determined that non-insurance services cannot be offered unless they are part of a group insurance policy (meaning filed in the policy form and approved by the DFS) and has required that services offered outside of a policy be terminated. The DFS Life Bureau has notified us they do not allow the non-insurance services we currently offer to our valued clients with the Group Life insurance policy.  As a result, we are implementing that change as follows:
