BEING PREPARED FOR THE STORM

Two weeks ago, the meteorological services forecast a huge snow storm for the NY metro area. All the indications were for 24” – 30” of snow to begin Monday afternoon and continue through Tuesday. Governor Cuomo announced precautions and closed the NYC subway system, the LIRR and other MTA commuter rail lines. Mayor de Blasio closed NYC schools on Tuesday. Roads were closed and all vehicles were banned after 11pm. Some people praised these actions and others said it was an over-reaction.
